Philanthropy
As a premier independent broker dealer, Investors Capital Corporation considers the communities in which our representatives and their clients live and work to be our most valuable resources. We are focused on providing whatever service and support we are able for our neighbors in states, cities and towns in which we have a presence throughout the United States.
Top areas include Boston, Miami, New York and Portsmouth but we do as much as we can to support locales big and small across the nation. Especially important to us is supporting foundations that can increase the quality of life for as many individuals as possible.
Jeans Money Program
Easter Seals. Autism Speaks. Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. St. Jude Children's Research. Franciscan Hospital for Children. These are just a few of the organizations that Investors Capital helps keep going with its Jeans Money program.
Fridays are casual days at our firm. And it goes without saying that our employees, who dress in professional garb Monday through Thursday (unusual for many broker/dealers), relish finishing out the work week in the traditional casual day garb of khakis or slacks. Or they may opt to get really casual and wear blue jeans to the office, for a cost of $5.
For those who choose to pay the fee and don their denim, their money is collected and, each month, given to a designated charity. Great planning goes into this decision. Oftentimes, the selected charity has deep, emotional roots in the Investors Capital community, either with an advisor or a member of the home office staff.
“Many companies give their employees casual Fridays as a perk for the employees, but we wanted to take it one step further,&rdquo said Meetings & Events Director Susan Richard. “Jeans Fridays are a great way for Investors Capital employees to sport their favorite jeans and, at the same time, make a financial donation monthly to a very special cause.”
To that end, Investors Capital Corporation has chosen the following organizations and charities as part of its "ICC Gives Back" program.
